MSP Billing Plan

How MSPs define and manage billing plans that control feature access and pricing for each Enterprise tenant.

MSP Billing Plan

MSP Billing Plans define which MCM modules an enterprise has access to. MSPs create plans once, and the platform enforces the included feature set automatically whenever a plan is assigned to an enterprise — no manual per-tenant configuration required.

Creating a Billing Plan

MSP Admins create named billing plans and select which MCM modules are enabled in each plan. A Starter plan might include only Discovery; a Professional plan might add FinOps and Governance; a full Enterprise plan might include all modules. Plans can be updated at any time.

Assigning a Plan to an Enterprise

When provisioning a new enterprise — or at any point afterwards — the MSP Admin assigns a billing plan. The enterprise immediately gains access to all modules included in that plan. Any modules outside the plan are automatically restricted. Assigning a plan is a single step that replaces what would otherwise be separate per-module configuration.

Enterprise Plan Visibility

Enterprise users can view their current billing plan and the list of included modules from within MCM's billing section. This gives enterprises clear visibility into what their subscription covers without needing to contact the MSP.

Plan Change Requests

When an enterprise needs access to additional modules, the Enterprise Admin submits a plan change request directly from within MCM, specifying the desired plan and optionally adding context notes. The MSP receives the request and approves or rejects it with a response. Both parties can track the request status throughout.

A full history of plan assignments and change requests is maintained per enterprise, including the requesting user, the MSP's decision, and the date each change took effect.
