First-run activation

A brand-new installation has to be activated once. This is done by the person who will own the platform, using the Subscription Key supplied with your MCM subscription.

When you open the console on a new installation, you are taken to the activation page automatically.

Step 1: Subscription Activation. Paste your Subscription Key (it starts with mcm_sk_) and choose Continue. MCM verifies the key; nothing is saved yet.

Step 2: Confirm your subscription. Review what the key unlocks:

• Organization name and legal name
• License name and plan
• Status, start date and end date
• The owner who will be created. This person becomes the MSP Owner and receives an email with their login details.

Choose Activate to proceed, or Back to change the key.

Step 3: Owner created. MCM confirms the owner account was created and tells you which address received the login details. Choose the button to go to the sign-in page, then follow Sign in.

• Expiry reminder. In the last 7 days before your subscription ends, a banner shows "Your MCM subscription expires in N days" and links to your plan details.
• Expired or inactive. If the subscription is expired, deactivated or cannot be verified, the console shows a blocking page with a Check Again button. Renew, then check again.
• Updating the key. If MCM asks you to update the Subscription Key after sign-in, paste the new one on the page that opens. You can also do it later from Settings → MCM App.
